Rabies Hotspot Detection Using Bipartite Network Modelling Approach

Despite entering its fourth year, the rabies outbreak in East Malaysian state of Sarawak has claimed another nine lives 2020, culminating with a total 31 laboratory-confirmed cases human as 31st December 2020. One control challenges faced by authorities within previously rabies-free area, such case Sarawak, is lack information regarding possible starting sources, notably hotspot locations outbreak. Identification potential high-risk areas for infection sine qua non effective disease interventions and strategies. Motivated this preparation future similar incidents, paper presented preliminary study on identification. The modelling approach adopted bipartite network where two disjoint sets nodes are Location node Dog (Bite Cases) node. formulation followed closely Bipartite Modeling Methodology Framework. Thorough model verification was done an attempt to show that problem domain can be modelled using approach.
